Separate loading, timed processing and finished products when planning preserved food or a dependable drink supply.
Reviewed build: 0.1.190.146 FULL FIXED R4 · October 26, 2026. Built against RimWorld 1.6.4871. DLC requirements are listed below.
Smoking and drying racks
An eligible smoking or drying batch uses five seconds of loading. Its saved processing timer then continues without a pawn standing at the rack. Busy batches count toward target bills, helping avoid producing repeated extra batches while earlier ones finish.
Eligible outputs use one-for-one input/output quantities. Frogs, crayfish and crabs are excluded from both rack types, including their prepared meat. Inspect the exact recipe filter instead of assuming that every aquatic catch is interchangeable with fish.
Rice drinks
| Step or condition | Current guidance |
|---|---|
| Research | Beer brewing before the rice chain |
| Loading | Make matching mash and fill its barrel; Hauling enabled |
| Ideal fermentation temperature | 7-32 C |
| Ideal fermentation duration | Six days |
| Nihonshu | Rice-based alcoholic drink |
| Shogashu | Rice, safe honey and healroot chain |
Mash is not finished alcohol. Temperature, matching barrels, hauling and storage filters can each interrupt a drink supply. Shogashu excludes toxic honey; use the actual allowed ingredient list.
Support Vulpite needs
Vulpite alcohol dependency remains separate from ordinary hunger. Check which finished drinks exist and which drug or recreation policies permit them. The food-drain slider does not alter alcohol needs or increase a meal’s nutrition.
If a pawn keeps choosing beer instead of another available drink, record the policy, inventory, finished product and exact build. Do not diagnose the choice from the presence of unfermented mash.
Spoilage and waste
The reviewed notes include Food Rot recovery and R4 collection changes. Reachable rot needs an eligible hauling pawn and a usable composter or accepting storage. Keep preservation and composting tests separate so a missing product can be traced to the correct stage.
