Workshops, electric tools and charging
Build a workshop that can actually run: a clear work spot, active bills, matching tools and dependable power.

Set up a working station
- Finish the recipe’s research and build the correct workstation. Early tools use the crafting spot or Primitive Tool Bench; steel and advanced tools use the machining table.
- Leave the station’s interaction cell and the worker’s route clear.
- Open Bills > Add bill, search for the recipe and choose a quantity or stock target.
- Allow the right ingredients, assign the matching work type, and check skill and tool requirements.
- Connect power or provide fuel where required. Select a capable pawn and right-click the station for Work here.
Charge electric tools
After Electricity research, build a tool charger and connect it to power. Use Recharge tools on the wearer or Recharge carried tools at the charger. The charger fills one tool at a time. Hauling workers can handle low batteries automatically when that option is enabled.
A charger requires 60 steel and 2 components and draws 100 W in the referenced manual. Standard batteries take about eight game hours from empty; advanced drills take longer. The actual tool’s information is the best check.
Powered gem work
The electric gem cutter/polisher follows Machining research. It uses the manual gem bills and still needs the appropriate crafter and chisel. Its blue activity glow appears while it is powered and actively being worked, rather than serving as permanent room lighting.
Save a production setup
Use Save bills to name a station setup. At a compatible replacement, choose Use saved bills and Add bills. Review skipped recipes and missing workers before resuming. Replacing bills is deliberate; it does not transfer unfinished production.
