Fishing and water traps

Use the standalone fishing system, set reachable traps, and give the catch somewhere to go.

Choose a fishing route

The mod’s Go Fishing command supports standalone water fishing. Odyssey is optional for that route. With Odyssey active, the mod also supports native fishing zones and fish integration; configure the native zone’s limits and supply an appropriate rod.

Set up water traps

  1. Place a fish basket in suitable shallow water with a reachable shoreline.
  2. Read the placement feedback before confirming it.
  3. Enable Hunting for trap collection and allow the worker to reach the site.
  4. Create storage that accepts the catch and has free space.
  5. Check full traps and collect catches before assuming the system is idle.

Understand the catch

Basket catches are dead food items for collection and processing, rather than tame animals. Supported fishing and trapping can also provide mood and meditative recreation benefits. Workers still need food, rest and a valid work schedule.

When nothing is collected

Check shallow-water placement, shoreline access, Hunting priority, allowed areas, reservations and storage filters. A catch cannot be delivered into forbidden or full storage. Include a screenshot of the trap and nearby bank in a report.

If you are using Odyssey’s native fishing system, report that fact alongside your zone settings and rod. It helps distinguish native-zone behavior from the standalone command.
